Audrey JoAnn (Lee) Neal, age 89, of Freeport Florida passed peacefully after a short illness, on July 6, 2026. Born November 30, 1936, in Everly, Iowa. Audrey grew up in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She married Horace C. Neal in 1957. In 1964 they settled in Milton, Florida where they raised their four children. Audrey worked for the Santa Rosa School System for 36 years at Milton High School and Locklin VoTech. Over the years she taught piano and enjoyed spreading her love of music to so many. In addition to playing the piano and organ she also mastered playing many instruments including tympani drums, accordion and marimba. She played the organ and piano for several churches within her communities. Her passions in life included her faith in God, family, music, pets, weekly canasta card group and many hobbies.
Audrey is survived by daughters Dianna Neal Moll (David Moll) of Covington LA, Rebecca Neal (Jeff Banish) of Atlanta GA, Jennifer Neal Williams (Joseph Williams) of Allen TX. Son, Horace (Chuck) Neal (Sarah Neal) of Gulf Breeze FL. Grandchildren Brittany (Williams) De La Cruz (Eric De La Cruz) of Lago Vista TX, Lindsey (Williams) Blanchone (Kyle Blanchone) of Princeton TX, Chad Moll (Sarah Moll) of Huntsville AL, Trevor Moll (Melissa Moll) of Baton Rouge LA, Jacob Banish of Atlanta GA, Austin Neal of Gulf Breeze FL, Kaeden Jefferies of Gulf Breeze FL. Great Grandchildren Alice Williams, Arthur Blanchone and Audrey Blanchone, Corbin De La Cruz, Marley Moll, Amber Moll. Sister Art Lee-Drewes of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. And, last, but not least, her beloved rescue dog Peppy.
Audrey is preceded in death by parents Melvin T. Lee and Marie (Mortensen) Lee of Emmetsburg Iowa, and sister Dorothy (Lee) Griggers of Milton FL.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
