Arlene Victoria Engle (Johnson) of DeFuniak Springs went to her heavenly home on February 3, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born June 25, 1934 in Pine City Minnesota to Andrew and Helen Johnson.

Arlene was raised on a Minnesota farm along with her twin brother and five other siblings. She was a loving mother to her three children and lived a military family life in interesting places including Australia. Her real passion was farm life which brought her to DeFuniak Springs in 1983, where neighbors and family still talk about the annual summer pig roasts and the best sweet corn they ever had. You may not see Arlene in her garden if you drive by the farm on Engles Road, but just know she is watching from above.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Earle D. Engle Jr, son Antonio Pigo, brothers Harold and Walter Johnson, and twin brother Arnie Johnson. She is survived by her daughters Angela (Gary) Kentosh of Arroyo Grande CA, Corinne Schuder (Raimund) of Germany, stepson Earle D. "Chip" Engle III, sisters Jeanette Anderson of Minneapolis MN and Jean Westerman of Grasston MN, brother Raymond (Helen) Johnson of Buffalo MN, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, plus many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A receiving of friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Beal Memorial Cemetery; 316 Beal Pkwy NW Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.
