Ms. Arbutus Ratliff, age 80, passed away February 27, 2023. She was born on October 10, 1942, in Honaker, Virginia to Luther Harris and Malissa Miller.

Ms. Ratliff was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, having moved from Honaker, Virginia, and was Pentecostal by faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a caregiver for many years. She was affectionately known as MawMaw. She also enjoyed attending gospel sings.

Ms. Ratliff was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband of 50 years, Luther Ratliff; one daughter Melissa Rose; one son, Anthony Ratliffe; four brothers, Marvin Harris, Lloyd Harris, Ervin Harris, and Paul Harris; three sisters, infant Kathleen Harris, Thelma Harris, and Leona Sims.

Ms. Ratliff is survived by one son, Jeffrey Carson Ratliff; one daughter, Saundra Willis and husband, Jimmy; two sisters, Betty Dale and Darlene Breedlove; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Honaker Funeral Home; 4686 Redbud Highway, Route 80, Honaker, Virginia 24260.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Honaker Funeral Home; 4686 Redbud Highway, Route 80, Honaker, Virginia 24260 with Reverends Matthew Dale and Monte Elswick officiating.

Flowers are being accepted.

Burial will follow in the Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Honaker, Virginia.
