Mrs. Ann Margaret Florek, age 57, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023. She was born on May 27, 1966 in Freeport, Illinois to Maurice and Judy Sullivan Doherty.

Ann spent the beginning of her life in Illinois surrounded by a large extended family. It is in Illinois that Ann had her son, Terry Ashmore. Later, Ann moved to Iowa where she met Peter Florek and the two were soon married. Ann and Pete loved travel adventures and found their way to Florida, where Ann's mother, Judy, and brothers, Mark and David, were living. Ann enjoyed life in Florida even more so when her son, Terry, and his wife, Joselyn, gifted her with three beautiful grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring woman who valued family and friendship above all else.

Mrs. Florek was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Doherty; and one brother Mark.

Mrs. Florek is survived by her mother, Judy Doherty; husband Peter Florek; son Terry and wife Joselyn; three grandchildren; two brothers David Doherty and Danny Doherty and wife Sherri.
