Andrew Florence
Sullivan
August 27, 1932 – June 4, 2022
Andrew Florence Sullivan, age 89, passed away on June 4, 2022, in Freeport, FL. He was born on August 27, 1932, in Kilcatherine, County Cork, Ireland to John and Elizabeth Sullivan.
Andrew "Florie" Sullivan completed his education years in Ireland before immigrating to England in 1955. He moved back to Ireland a few years later to find the love (Anna Lynch) he had left behind. Upon returning to Ireland, he learned that she had moved to America with her siblings. He packed his bags and also moved to the Bronx with Anna's siblings. Andy and Anna were married in New York City in 1958. Andy worked for Philips Medical Supply Center, New York City, for the next 13 years. At this point, he moved back to Ireland with his wife and four children; for what he thought at the time would be forever. They did not adapt to farm life the way he thought they would so after three years and another child he moved his family back to America. He settled with his wife and five children in Shelton, CT, and resumed working with Phillips Medical Supply Center in Connecticut. He retired from Philips Medical in 1992. He moved with his wife to Florida in 2003 after some of his children had moved there. Over the last nineteen years, he has enjoyed a slower lifestyle and the beautiful weather in Florida.
Andrew is predeceased by his son, Raymond Sullivan (1970); parents, John and Elizabeth (McCarthy) Sullivan; brothers, James (Seamus) Sullivan, Patrick (Paddy) Sullivan, Timothy (Tim) Sullivan, Frank Sullivan, and John Sullivan; and many other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Andrew Sullivan is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna Sullivan; son, Gerard Sullivan and his wife Darlena; daughters, Mary Sullivan, Elizabeth Bogucki and her husband David, Annamarie Moon, Julie Blamasah and her husband Sawie; grandchildren, Valerie Hamon and her husband Jason, John Bogucki, Owen Sullivan, Shailagh Moon, Sarah, and Abby Blamasah; great-grandchildren, Riley, Aiden, and Lucas Hamon.
