Mr. Albert O'Keefe , age 84, passed away peacefully in his home Saturday, October 18, 2025. Albert was born in Queens December 19, 1940 but lived his entire life in Tottenville when he moved in 1945. He attended PS 1 and St. Mary High School in Perth Amboy, New Jersey following employments by the A&P and the forming SS White Dental of Princess Bay he become an apprentice for Plumber Local #2. Where after 5 years he became a plumber. He worked for Honeywell Incorporation of Long Island City for 26 years as a Pneumatic Control technician before partnership in Pneutech Co. His interest always involved fishing, either at home of while traveling. For many years he served as a coach or manager for S.S Little League. He retired to Maine in 2001. He had 6 sisters; Mary, Dorothy, Gloria, Catherine, Loretta and Evelyn and 13 grandchildren. Before retiring he was a member of Gateway Cathedral in Richmond Valley. While in Maine he was a member of First Assembly of God in Lewiston, Maine. After leaving Maine, he moved to Forked River, New Jersey for several years before moving by their daughter Colleen in DeFuniak Springs, Florida in 2023.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Grace O'Keefe.
He is survived by his six children, Albert of New Jersey, Danny of Cobleskill, New York, Michael of Richmond Valley, New York, Colleen of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Kathleen of Fords, New Jersey, and Dennis of New Jersey; and thirteen grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM EST, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Bedell Pizzo Funeral Home; 7447 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10307.
Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM EST, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at St. John's Cemetery in Queens, New York.
Flowers are being accepted.
