Obituary

Mr. Aaron Dixon Brinson, age 75, passed away July 4, 2024.  He was born on April 19, 1949 in Anderson, South Carolina, to Marlene (Dail) Brinson and Alonza Dewey Brinson.

Aaron approached life with diligence and excellence, intent always on doing the right thing and being an example of Christ to others. This served him well in his 36-year-long service as an Electrical Engineer in the United States Department of Defense working with guided missiles in every capacity of their technology. On his retirement, it was stated, "He has contributed greatly to the command mission; his actions and efforts will benefit his command and the Warfighter for decades in the future."

He was a quiet man, but one who lived and loved life. Upon his retirement in 2004, he bought the biggest farm tractor he could find, calling it his two-ton wheelbarrow. He and that tractor became very well acquainted, with much joy on his part in the operation of it. Motorcycles were a fun getaway from all his "seriousness," as was traveling around the country. He lately became interested in playing the bass guitar and, of course, used the number system to make it happen. He truly loved his family, his church family, and his dear friends whom he called family. And he was very loved for his quiet wisdom, his generous heart, his dry wit and his beautiful example of Christ's love to all those he knew.

Aaron was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vida Cuchens Brinson, his son, Adam Brinson (Lela), daughter Amy Brinson Rasz, brothers, Greg and Phil Brinson (Victoria), beautiful, special grandchildren Phoebe, Milo and Theone, sister-in-law, Racheal Hulion (Ken), brother-in-law, Ro Cuchens (Kasey), and so many beautiful and loving cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 Highway 20 East, Freeport, Florida 32439.
