Mr. Jimmie Davidson, age 76, of Ponce De Leon, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 4, 2013. He was born March 14, 1936 in Holmes County, Florida to Rufus and Gladys McCollough Davidson.

Jimmie had been a resident of Ponce De Leon. He was Christian by faith. He worked as an Electrician for many years, having owned and operated Jimmy’s Electric. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting especially bird hunting.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents R.B. Davidson and Gladys Brown Davidson, one brother Albert Davidson.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 55 ½ years Doris M. Davidson of Ponce De Leon, Florida; sons Donel Davidson and wife Jan of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Kenneth Wayne Davidson of Elba, Alabama, daughters Donna Marie Davidson of Mossy Head, Florida, Danita Jo Driskill and husband Sean of Ormond Beach, Florida Carol Jean Gilmore of Ascension Island, South Atlantic Ocean. Brothers, Eugene Davidson of Palm Bay, Kelly Davidson of Avon Park, John Davidson of Avon Park, sisters Louise Whitbeck of Avon Park and Lottie Hamilton of Echo, Alabama; grandchildren Christy Lynn Foster and husband Robert of Pennsylvania, Victor Manuel Alvarado and wife Melissa of South Florida, Anthony Michael Alvarado of New Jersey, Casey Nicole Beck of Elba, Alabama, Forrest Neal Davidson and wife Ashley of DeFuniak Springs, Vanessa Davidson of Palm Beach, Courtney Amanda Davidson of Troy, Alabama, Stevie Renae Davidson of Brundidge, Alabama, and Hailey Danielle Davidson of DeFuniak Springs. Great grandchildren Jalen Foster, Keaton Beck, Kane Beck, Madison Davidson, Victoria Alvarado, Bane Reid Alvarado, also survived by his loving pet Pete.

A time of visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 12:00 ~ 1:00 PM at the Clary-Glenn Funeral; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Reverend Donel Davidson.

Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice at 4374 Lafayette St, Marianna, FL 32446.

Burial will follow in the Red Bay Cemetery.
