Mr. Obie Morris, age 70, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013. He was born August 14, 1943 in Geneva, Alabama to Silas and Matilda Allen Morris.

Mr. Morris was a lifelong resident of Walton County. He was Baptist by faith. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country in the United Sates Air Force. He worked as a painter for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Mr. Morris is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Hubert Morris, William Morris and Ovie Morris and one sister Mearle Griffin.

Mr. Morris is survived by his one son Obie Allen Morris and wife Alicia of DeFuniak Springs; two brothers Odie B. Morris and wife Linda and William Morris and wife Stella all of DeFuniak Springs; two sisters Bonnie Hagen and husband Russ of DeFuniak Springs and Varnie Smith of Dothan, Alabama and one granddaughter Cheyenne Morris.

Memorial services will be held 5:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2013 at Harmony Fellowship Church Avenue; 974 Adams Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, Reverend Donel Davidson officiating, with military honors.
